Clothing Swap ( 9:00 am - 1:00 pm )
Gulfport’s free clothing swap takes place during the Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market on the second Tuesday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The clothing swap is currently held in the courtyard of the historic Peninsula Inn, 2937 Beach Blvd. South. Participants are invited to bring up to five gently used garments to exchange for vouchers that may be used to select clothing brought in by other participants. Clothing may be for women, men or children. Please provide hangers for all garments to be used in the swap. For anyone interested, vouchers may also be purchased for $3 each.
Donations of clothing above the 5-garment limit will be accepted. All additional donations should be contained in bags or boxes. All cash proceeds, donated clothing, and non-selected garments at the end of the swap are donated to Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA). CASA is a local non-profit organization providing services to survivors of abuse or violence.
For more information on the clothing swap, contact:
Daniel Hodge at (727) 366-4086 or email
In case of rain, please plan to attend the clothing swap on the second Tuesday of the following month.
According to Tuesdi Dyer, CASA Development Director,
“This is a great, easy way for the community to come out and show support for some of our neighbors in their time of need as they flee from domestic violence and prepare to begin a new life. Simply go through your closets and pick out some gently used items. Then enjoy the swap, knowing that all remaining clothing will be donated to CASA to help others.”
The clothing swap is co-sponsored by the Gulfport Merchants Association, Gulfport! Magazine, LocalShops1.com and The Outpost.
Gulfport’s Tuesday Fresh Market is a year-round event, offering fresh fruits and vegetables (including locally grown seasonal produce from farms in our area), as well as fresh bread, cheese, seafood, herbs, plants and flowers, cupcakes and pastries, hand-blended teas, nuts, local honey, pet treats, hand-made soaps, local art, crafts, jewelry, candles and healing lotions and oils. New vendors join the market place each week and live music is always featured. The Market takes place every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
