The Gulfport Merchant's Association cordially invite you to join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion (and Toto too!) as we embark on the magical journey on the yellow brick road, through the Land of Oz-GECKO STYLE! This year's ball includes live music by Kevin Wilder and His Yellow Brick Roadies, an expansive buffet provided by Isabelle's at The Peninsula Inn as well as live and silent auctions. The silent auction will include items donated from many of our fine local shops and artists. (Anybody wishing to donate items for the auction, please leave a message on the facebook page, and we will be in contact with you.) Once again, the live auction will feature 6 metal geckos that will be embellished by 6 local artists. (This was a huge hit last year, so be ready to bid!) The 6 geckos will be available for preview at various locations around Gulfport before the Ball. (The 6 artists and preview locations TBA) Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Dress as your favorite character from the Land of Oz, or your favorite gecko. Or get really creative, and combine the 2! There will be a costume contest. We will also be bringing back the green screen photo booth. This is a great way get a commemorative souvenir to remember your night in the Merry Old Land of Oz. Since greeen is such a prevalent color with this theme, the screen will actually be blue, so you won't need to worry about melting into the background. Tickets are $25 per person, and include, live music, buffet, decorations, fun and surprises. Tickets will be available (cash only) at Domain Home Accessories, The Out Post, and T & Me Tea Company. Tickets are also available online on this website (see button top right of this page). Due to the popularity of this event, tickets sell out quickly, so don't delay getting your tickets.
