GMA Makes a Difference
The Gulfport Merchants Association is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote Gulfport’s Art Village as “a flourishing and evergrowing art, shopping and dining destination in Pinellas County.”
The GMA sponsors, promotes and advertises
Gulfport’s popular first Friday and third Saturday
Art Walks throughout the year, Tuesday morning
Fresh Markets, 4th Saturday Event, and annual events including
GeckoFest and Get Rescued. GMA cosponsored
events include SpringFest and the
July 4th Festival.
Civic improvements including streetscaping and tree lighting are also GMA sponsored activities.
GMA, working closely with the City of Gulfport, has generated significantly increased tourism and business traffic benefiting all Gulfport merchants.
All Gulfport businesses in and near the waterfront district are encouraged to support GMA as it supports Gulfport.
If your business is not a member, please join us. Add your voice to ours. Additional benefits to members include advertising space in the St. Petersburg Times, placement in promotional brochures, and a presence on its website.
Dues are $25 per month or $300 per year.
GMA meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 and are open to all.

Thanks to Our Members
The Gulfport Merchants Association continues to make strides in attracting visitors to Gulfport and creating traffic in local businesses. Creating and maintaining a healthy business climate in Gulfport’s Waterfront District is the primary purpose of the GMA.
Art Walks, the Tuesday Fresh Market and special events regularly attract crowds in the hundreds or thousands. Many of these visitors are discovering Gulfport for the first time. Many of these new and repeat visits can be attributed to the efforts of GMA:
- Paid advertising
- A strong presence on the web
- Community networking
- Promotion of events through press releases and our GMA information booth at the Fresh Market and other events.
Without the support of member businesses, the GMA would not be able to continue its efforts to keep customer traffic strong. GMA member dues and participation are repaid by streets full of visitors who are populating our restaurants, shops and businesses, discovering all we have to offer, and putting Gulfport on the map as one of the area’s top destinations.
We wish to thank each of these businesses for being members of the Gulfport Merchants Association and, by extension, actively contributing to our progress.
